Alison Pavitt

Chief Marketing Officer

With over 30 years in the broadcast and media industry, I’ve experienced first-hand how much, and how fast, the landscape can change. But from demoing graphic systems and delivering operational training to designing global marketing campaigns and setting board-level strategy, my career has always centred on collaboration and communication in their many forms.

As Chief Marketing Officer at Blue Lucy, I’m championing the next generation of media operations and proud to represent a dynamic company in scale-up mode. I previously led the commercial function at Pebble during a period of major growth, driving brand transformation, launching new initiatives like the Pebble User Group, and fostering a culture of clarity, cooperation, and continuous development.

I like to think I bring positivity, curiosity, and a pragmatic can-do approach to my professional life. Whether it’s mentoring emerging talent or rolling up my sleeves at trade shows (which I love), I stay focused on outcomes and impact.

Having previously served on the IABM Member’s Board, I understand the importance of representing diverse member voices, especially SMEs, and keeping the association relevant, results-driven, and future-facing.

Alison is a seasoned media tech professional with a career spanning over three decades in sales, marketing, and strategic leadership. From product demos in the early days to board-level decision-making, she’s built a reputation as a skilled communicator who gets things done.

Chief Marketing Officer at Blue Lucy since 2024, Alison previously headed up commercial operations at Pebble, where she played a key role in the company’s strongest sales year, led major branding and value projects, and served on the IABM Member’s Board.

A passionate advocate for SMEs and positive industry change, she’s also a member of the IBC Exhibitor Advisory Group. Alison is known for her upbeat approach, collaborative style, and belief in the power of strong communication.

When not immersed in content workflows or campaign strategy, you’ll likely find her striding around outdoors, in forward planning mode, with an exhausted dog at her heels!

Stuart Russell

Marketing Manager

I’ve been in the media production industry for 15 years now, working with vendor companies large and small (from 20-person start-ups to multinationals with 1000+ employees). I’ve also served on the UK Member Council twice.

A self-confessed technology enthusiast, I’ve seen the media landscape change greatly over my time in the industry and believe very firmly in the importance of a strong vendor community and the IABM’s role in promoting this.

For all of its creativity and innovation, our industry faces many important challenges in the current climate — from AI and automation to deskilling, inclusivity, the fragmentation of revenue models, and wider macro political issues. The IABM also faces challenges from other industry bodies that have grown rapidly and sought to claim a place as the voice of customers and vendors.

I believe that my industry experience, coupled with my marketing expertise as a brand-builder and broader commercial outlook, would be beneficial to the IABM as it seeks to re-establish itself as an authoritative voice and help members deal with the changing face of the media production landscape.

Stuart is a CIM-qualified marketing and communications professional with broad international experience gained from leadership roles with B2B technology, media and AI brands.

Originally from near Edinburgh, Stuart has worked in media production for 12 years, and is a well-known face to many in the industry following almost nine years at Ross Video as Marketing Manager for EMEA and then Communications Director. A regular contributor to broadcast industry publications, events and forums, Stuart is also a member of the IABM UK Council and lives in Cambridge with his family.

When not working, he can usually be found hiking around East Anglia, annoying the neighbours with his love of music and setting off the kitchen smoke alarm.

My background in project management—shaped by senior roles in EU-funded initiatives and work with organisations like USAID, Innovate UK, and the European Commission—equips me to support IABM’s mission of industry advancement and collaboration.

I offer deep expertise in financial oversight, sustainability, digital transformation, and strategic planning. As an evaluator for EU EACEA and Cascade Funding programmes, I assess innovation-driven proposals with a critical eye for impact and viability. Fluent in foreign languages and experienced in cross-cultural environments, I champion inclusivity and global engagement.

I am also an active mentor in the Women4Cyber Programme and a member of leading professional bodies, including the Institute of Directors and the Corporate Governance Institute. I bring to the Board a blend of technical insight, governance expertise, and a strong commitment to advancing the broadcast and media industry’s sustainable, inclusive, and digital future.

I am an international development consultant and project management specialist with over 18 years of experience leading global initiatives across sustainability, education, consumer protection, digital innovation, and media technology.

As Company Director at PlayBox Technology UK, I oversee strategic growth, innovation, and funding in the broadcast automation sector. My governance training includes the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Programme, the University of Buffalo’s course on Board Effectiveness and Governance, and certification from the Corporate Governance Institute.

Tom Wootton

Head of Access Services

I am pleased to be seeking re-nomination to the IABM board during this pivotal period for our industry. As the global media landscape undergoes unprecedented transformation, the IABM’s role in fostering collaboration and driving innovation has never been more critical.

With the new CEO in place, I am committed to helping build on our renewed sense of purpose and organizational strength.

I bring two essential perspectives that strengthen board decision-making. Red Bee Media’s position as a leading media services provider means in my current role as Head of Access Services, leading over 400 people, and previously as Head of Product for Video Services, I maintain daily dialogue with both media customers and technology vendors, navigating strategic partnerships and commercial negotiations on a daily basis. This frontline experience provides invaluable insight into the directional shifts and financial pressures shaping our ecosystem, as well as emerging opportunities across the value chain.

My diverse background spanning operations, technology development, and product management has cultivated a comprehensive understanding of how evolving technology-human partnerships drive business outcomes. At Red Bee, I have successfully spearheaded AI implementation initiatives, developing practical use cases that deliver measurable business benefits — experience directly relevant to our industry’s current technological evolution.

It has been a genuine pleasure to serve on the IABM board. As well as being a consistent attendee of board meetings, I assisted with interviews during the original CEO selection process. It would be an honour to continue as a board member for the IABM in the next exciting stages ahead and to be part of advancing our collective mission of strengthening the media technology ecosystem through strategic leadership and insight, and collaborative innovation.

My two most recent roles have been Head of Access Services at Red Bee and Head of Product for Video Services (including Playout, Media Management, and MCR/signal management). However, my career has very much seen me work my way up from the ‘shop floor’. I started as a subtitler/captioner back in 2002, before moving on to operational training and quality control roles.

Subsequently, I started work for Red Bee and became the platform owner for the development of critical accessibility production technologies before moving into product management—first within Access Services, and subsequently across a wider portfolio of media services.

My pleasures and hobbies remain what they always have been since I was young: reading and the arts generally – my degree was in Literature and Linguistics. I have a cat called The General.

Chris Lennon

Office of the CTO: Director, Standards Strategy

It has been my honor to serve on the Members’ Board over the past few years and I would be very happy to continue.

In representing one of the premier vendors in our industry, and one with an international perspective (we are Canadian), I think I can represent our membership quite well. I bring a mix of technical and marketing acumen to the Board that I think has been helpful (and a bit unique). Although I began my voyage at a large television station, I worked on the vendor side for most of my 35-year career, from the smallest to the largest companies, and have also worked with broadcasters and vendors on every continent (except for Antarctica).

I’ve enjoyed working with the dedicated folks on the Board and also the terrific staff that IABM has. I’m really excited with the possibilities of the organization under Saleha’s leadership, and look forward to helping her realize the vision she has for the organization.

This is an exciting time for the IABM! I think the organization is a terrific voice for our community and can’t wait to see where we can take it in the coming years.

Chris Lennon serves in Ross Video’s Office of the CTO as Director, Standards Strategy. He is responsible for Ross’ activities in standards and trade organizations, as well as its global thought leadership program.

Chris also serves as Executive Director of the Open Services Alliance (OSA), a global industry organization focused on interoperability among microservice-oriented media systems, now a part of SMPTE’s Rapid Industry Solutions. Rebekah Wilson

CEO

20 years of industry engagement with the post-production audio industry as a small, agile player. Source Elements were at the forefront of using the internet for IP solutions in the sound studio and have become recognized in their field for their innovations and strategic product developments that meet the needs of the international sound designer, orchestra, audio editor, voice actor, film-maker, and more — from indie, professional, educational, and enterprise.

Looking forward, Source Elements is investing in supporting new media formats such as podcasting and other new forms of storytelling. As the broadcast industry changes as we watch, it’s critical to have a product base — such as the Source-Connect and Source-Nexus platforms — that can be applied quickly to new workflows and markets.

As co-founder, Technical Director and CEO for Source Elements, Rebekah Wilson celebrates her two decades with the company as it launches a completely re-engineered remote collaboration platform built on the knowledge gained from 20 years of working closely with her customers and industry partners, including Avid and Dolby.

As a provider of remote recording services, she’s privy to the conversations over the ever-changing challenges in broadcast and post-production requirements, as the promises and concerns of the hybrid future loom closer. Since Source-Connect was first released in 2005, Rebekah has advocated for the benefits of remote collaboration in sound engineering, voice acting, music performance & production, film & cinema production, and education. Her pioneering developments remain dedicated to the craft after two decades, as she continues her commitment by ensuring Source Elements’ services are of exceptional quality, sophistication, and reliability.

Originally trained as a composer, Rebekah is a software developer and expert in the fields of music technology and networking. As a New Zealand native, she understands very well how important it is to be connected even when separated by oceans; there is no excuse for creativity to suffer just because of where we are in the world.
