Chris has provided data driven insight and bespoke research to leading broadcast media technology brands as a market analyst since 2017, having previously held the position of Principal Analyst and Head of Pro Video & Broadcast at Futuresource Consulting.

PURMINDER GANDHU

Advisor, Presenter and Producer for IABM TV, IABM (MODERATOR)

With over 30 years’ experience with the BBC, including as a News Producer, Studio Director and R&D Technology Transfer and Partnerships Manager, Purminder Gandhu is shaping broadcast technology solutions for the future. A Technical Emmy shortlister, Purminder won the NAB Best Paper Award in 2024, was part of the team that won the IABM Peter Wayne Golden BaM Award™ 2024 and is also a jury member for the Royal Television Society (RTS) Tech Awards and the Broadcast Tech Awards. At NAB Show Las Vegas, Purminder will be producing and presenting the IABM TV studio and – brand new for 2025 – the IABM Impact Stage, taking place in the newly expanded IABM Members Lounge located at N259 LMR. From bustling BBC studios to remote locations facilitating live coverage of BBC World News and events, Purminder has regularly worked as a studio director, including on programs such as the BBC’s flagship Today morning show. In the broadcast technology environment, where innovation and a shared vision are paramount, Purminder’s understanding of the evolving technology landscape is exceptional. Ranging from traditional broadcast techniques through to the latest advancements in digital audio, immersive sound, connectivity solutions and notably her work on 5G as part of a multi-award-winning collaborative partnership, she is demonstrably at the leading edge of innovation. After moving to BBC R&D in early 2020, Purminder embraced leadership and collaborative teamwork in her role as the lead for the BBC Edge technology forum. BBC Edge enabled teams from across the BBC to learn, share and influence workflows while engaging with the broader industry and sharing technology developments through curated agendas – the first 24-hour test of Starlink, for example. Through the curation of valuable information on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, sharing insights through panels and presentations for IBC, MPTS, EBU, SVG and Broadcast Techfest, Purminder has leveraged her expertise to become a sought-after thought leader. Purminder is an advisor, presenter and producer for IABM, (International Association of Broadcast and Media), connecting, supporting and informing media technology organizations across the global ecosystem. Always paying it forward, mentoring is an imperative for Purminder and she is also part of the Rise Women in Broadcast’s mentoring cohort and podcast producer.

NICOLA COGOTTI

CEO and Cloud Architect, Alpha Cogs

Nicola Cogotti is an innovative and hands-on Chief Technology Officer, Solution Architect, and founder of Alpha Cogs, with over 20 years of experience driving cutting-edge software development and digital transformation across the media, fashion, luxury, and sports industries. With a Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence Applied to Business Management and AWS AI Practitioner certification, Nicola has a proven track record of architecting scalable, secure, and high-impact cloud-native solutions. Under his leadership, Alpha Cogs has earned multiple industry accolades, including the IABM New Member of the Year Award and Most Innovative Team-Driven Software Development Company (SME News, 2024). Notable projects include AWS serverless transformations for Alexander McQueen and the Royal Opera House, Telestream, among others. Nicola is also a passionate advocate for team culture, technical excellence, and ethical innovation, often sharing insights at industry summits such as IBC, AWS Exec Leaders, and the DPP Broadcaster Summit. Prior to his current role leading product strategy at LTN, Rick held leadership positions at startups and global brands.

Anna Lockwood

Head of Media & Sport, Telstra International

Anna Lockwood is an experienced global media industry executive, currently heading the Media & Sport vertical at Telstra International. Anna leads a team that works at the convergence of the traditional broadcast industry with leading-edge telecommunications and digital platforms, focusing on bringing innovative solutions and services to the media and sports business. In addition to her role at Telstra, Anna represents Telstra as a Director on the IABM Board, and is an Advisory Board Member and Mentor at RISE, a group for women in broadcast. Anna is also on the Strategic Advisory Committees for Ateme and Spalk. She is active in industry initiatives around innovation, sports, and women in media and technology.

Justin Gupta

Head of Broadcast & Video Ads, Google

Justin is Head of Broadcast & Video Ads for EMEA in Google's Sellside Monetisation Partnerships team. His current focus is enabling advanced video and audio advertising in OTT, Connected TV and on Smart Devices, having worked on dynamic ad insertion for a number of broadcasters, ad insertion on linear TV (via HbbTV) and a number of other video and audio monetisation opportunities for broadcasters and publishers across EMEA.

Justin has been with Google for 19 years, including working on Google Video and YouTube and across a number of broadcaster and publisher monetisation products (Ad Manager, Dynamic Ad Insertion and AdSense). Prior to Google, he spent 5 years at the BBC (later Red Bee Media) working on operations for the BBCi interactive TV services.
Passionate about TV, user experience and advertising, Justin brings his industry experience and technical knowledge to this complex and evolving space.

Mina Sabet

Head of Production, TED Conference

An award winning producer, writer and respected leader in media and production, Mina Sabet graduated from New York University with a BA in Journalism and English. She is currently the Head of Production for TED, the acclaimed nonprofit conference series featuring expert speakers on education, business, science, tech and more. Previously, she served as executive producer for NBC’s iconic morning show in Philadelphia, securing a full point jump in ratings during her first year, and served on the launch team for award-winning shows on NBC, as well as production teams for CNN, ABC, and FOX television. In 2013 she was asked to launch and lead content strategy and digital creation for one of Nestle’s largest global brands. She lives in Philadelphia with her family.

alex sanchez

COO, Eurovision Services

Alex Sanchez began his career in his native Barcelona as a Technical Director for local television, where he honed his expertise in live broadcast operations. He later joined Dorna Sports and the MotoGP circuit, playing a key role in managing transmission and reception of OnBoard and handheld cameras for live coverage. In 2015, he moved to Geneva and joined Eurovision/EBU in operational roles. Over the years, Alex had several positions until he was appointed Eurovision Services COO in 2024 , where he now oversees seamless live broadcast delivery, content distribution, and technical execution of premier sports events.

Joining Ateme in 2005 as Field Application Engineer, Remi Beaudouin currently leads the corporate team's global strategic and marketing initiatives as Chief Strategy Officer, helping to ensure Ateme keeps pace with solutions and engagement model innovations. Leveraging the company's recognized core expertise in video compression and CDN, he develops key strategic partnerships, expands Ateme's portfolio of video delivery solutions, and continuously disrupts the Pay-TV and media and entertainment markets with new concepts based on hybrid, on-premise, and cloud technologies. Richard Jonker currently serves as NETGEAR Enterprise's Vice President Marketing & Business Development, building channel business in IT and AV-over-IP. Jonker is a seasoned executive with global experience in the technology sector. Previously with Apple, Richard Jonker joined NETGEAR in 2007 as Country Manager Benelux. In 2010, he assumed the role of Vice President, Emerging Markets. In 2015, Jonker transferred to NETGEAR's headquarters in California as Vice President of Product Line Management for Commercial products. In 2021, Richard relocated back to the Netherlands, focusing on growth in AV-over-IP by handling vendor relations. This resulted in partnerships with 465 AV manufacturers.
